Glassman Wealth Services

Associate Client Advisor Job Posting

Can a company be amazing, growing, respected, and fun? This one is! And The Washington Business Journal just named us THE #1 best place to work in the Washington DC area.

We are Glassman Wealth Services, a Tysons Corner, Virginia-based wealth management firm, and we are seeking an Associate Client Advisor who is passionate about doing ‘the work’ and thrives as part of a cohesive team.

As a successful candidate, you will thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment that is mission-driven, people-focused, and community-oriented. You will be honest, approachable, reliable, and motivated with a service-oriented attitude. You will balance multiple priorities in a variety of ever-changing situations.

Bottom line: we share a vision for enriching the lives of our clients, and you do too.

The nitty gritty details of your responsibilities and what will make you successful are spelled out below. We encourage you to read them carefully before applying. If, when you’ve reviewed and re-reviewed the specifics, it sounds like we are talking about you, then don’t wait – we’d like to hear from you! But please, no phone calls; we’re serious about that.

Your experience and qualifications will include:

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of direct industry experience; working directly with wealthy families is a plus
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or CIMA certification, or be working towards your certification
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong working knowledge of financial, tax, investment, insurance, and estate planning issues and techniques
  • Detail-orientation yet also the ability to see the big picture
  • Optimism and desire for achievement
  • Adaptability and openness to change
  • Proficiency in financial planning software is a huge plus (Tamarac, MoneyGuidePro, etc.)

The successful candidate will work directly on one of our client advising teams, leading efforts to ensure each and every wealth management issue is properly addressed. You should certainly apply if you have more than 2 years of relevant financial planning support experience. There are no sales requirements for this position, yet an eventual desire to grow our client base through building connections is a plus.

We are an equal opportunity employer, and we promise to pay you a competitive salary commensurate with experience in addition to all sorts of other outstanding benefits. We value our employees, and we're not afraid to show it. (Really, it’s true – take a look at our Awesome Benefits).

Please make sure to include your resume and a cover letter.

PS – We know the Washington area has a tight financial community. In ALL cases, your letter, resume, and interest will be kept completely confidential.
